Gemma Christina Arterton, an English actress, is well-known for roles in movies like Quantum of Solace, The Disappearance of Alice Creed, and ?Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. She was born in Gravesend, Kent, in Greater London. After studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and a few years of professional work, she made her debut in the role of an actor in the comedy 'St. Trinian's'.
